Katie’s passion for 'all things human development', and its functions, began with her Sports Science undergraduate degree. Through discovering her passion for inspiring people on their fitness journey, and alongside her drive to educate people on the physical and mental benefits of regular exercise, Katie qualified as a clinical Pilates instructor, including ante and post natal care and children. She requalifies regularly to ensure her patients reap the benefits of her expertise. Katie's career is built on a foundation of nearly 30 years of health, sport and exercise science.
Katie is a member of the Royal College of Chiropractors and, through life as a proprietor of her own clinic, she is able to work at the heart of her community, helping patients of all ages and from all walks of life. She has also seen first-hand the rigours modern life places on pregnant women, babies and children and is an active member of the Royal College of Chiropractors Paediatric Faculty. Through the Covid-19 pandemic, Katie took time to release videos on the clinic’s YouTube channel giving hints and tips to younger patients on maintaining a healthy posture while home-schooling.
Katie mentors aspiring chiropractors through their academic journey and actively bridges the gap from academia to the practicalities of one-to-one patient care by offering a glimpse into clinic life.
Katie emits a wonderful style, both professionally and personally. As well as being a wife to Adam and a mother to Tom and Ollie, she’s a keen netballer, baker, rugby-sideline-supporter, walker, runner, and recently has added a slightly mad (but very soft!) spaniel to her family – and she manages all this with impeccable posture!

Sophia discovered McTimoney Chiropractic when she was pregnant with her now grown twins. In particular, she was amazed at how such a light and specific treatment could help her manage the strain pregnancy was placing on her spine and pelvis.
In 2012 she took the plunge and enrolled at the McTimoney College of Chiropractic, taking a completely new career direction away from her previous role in young people’s careers education and guidance.
Sophia joined Katie at Back 2 Balance in 2018 and shares Katie’s passion for coaching and treating patients in a holistic way.
She is skilled in soft tissue techniques and dry needling, both of which complement her gentle style of chiropractic care. Sophia also draws from her background in advice and guidance to put patients at ease, help them identify their health goals and develop an individually tailored plan of care. She enjoys her varied patient list but has a special interest in women’s health, pregnancy and pelvic girdle pain.
Sophia’s passion for wellness, both professionally and personally, shows in her personal life where she enjoys Pilates, yoga and long walks with her canine companion, Cooper… she obviously also exemplifies how we can all manage life with impeccable posture!
